Spinach Dip Mini Bread Bowls
Individual servings of warm Spinach Dip.
I love a good Spinach Dip. I wanted to create a way to serve Spinach Dip to a crowd without having everyone gathering around a crockpot or big bread bowl. So this lead me to the good old Kings Hawaiian Buns, to create individual servings. These are easy to make are so delicious.
SPINACH DIP MINI BREAD BOWLS
Ingredients:
- 1 (10 oz.) pkg. Frozen Spinach, thawed and excess water squeezed out
- 6-8 Strips Bacon, cooked and diced small
- 1 Tablespoon Minced Garlic
- 1/4 Cup Mayo
- 1/4 Cup Sour Cream
- 2 Cups Monterey Jack Cheese, shredded
- 4 Ounces Cream Cheese, softened
- 12 Kings Hawaiian Rolls
- 1/2 Stick Unsalted Butter, melted
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Spray a 9 x 13 baking dish with non stick cooking spray set aside.
3. Using a handheld mixer, blend the Cream Cheese, Sour Cream and Mayo until smooth. Add the Garlic and Spinach and mix until well combined.
4. Stir in the Bacon and 1 Cup of the Monterey Jack Cheese. Set Aside.
5. Hollow out the center of each of the Kings Hawaiian Rolls. Leaving enough room for a bout 1 Tablespoon of filling. They don’t need to look perfect. The filling and Cheese will hide any imperfections.
6. Place the Rolls in the prepared pan. Fill each Roll with the Spinach mixture.
7. Drizzle the Melted Butter over the top of each Roll allowing it to flow down the sides.
8. Using the last 1 Cup of Monterey Jack Cheese, sprinkle a small amount on top of each Roll.
9. Bake the filled Rolls just until the Cheese on top is melted and the Rolls are a light golden brown color, around 8 minutes or so.
Serve the Rolls warm right out of the oven. Store any leftovers covered in the refrigerator.
