Fudgy Frosted Brownies

Share

A chewy, fudgy Brownie with a creamy Frosting.

You probably have most of the ingredients on hand to make these Brownies. Even though I use Pumpkin Puree in the batter, the flavor is Chocolate Fudge. The Pumpkin merely adds a moist, dense, fudgy texture to the Brownies without adding the pumpkin flavor. Kind of reminds me of the swap out for banana bread by using zucchini instead.

If you like a good Fudgy Brownie, give this recipe a try.

FUDGY FROSTED BROWNIES

Ingredients:

  • 1 (1 LB 2.3 oz.) pkg Family size Fudge Brownie Mix
  • 1 Cup Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 1 (15 oz.) Can Pumpkin Puree
  • 4 Ounces Cream Cheese Softened
  • 1/4 cup Butter, melted
  • 1 & 3/4 Cup Powdered Sugar
  • 1/2 Cup Cocoa
  • 3 Tablespoons Half & Half

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2. Spray an 8 x 8 pan with non stick baking spray. Set aside.

3. In a large bowl, stir together the Brownie Mix and the Pumpkin Puree until well combined.

4. Fold in the Chocolate Chips.

5. Transfer the Batter to the prepared pan. Spread the Batter out evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-50 minutes or until a toothpick in center comes out clean.

6. Allow the Brownies to cool completely in the pan.

7. In a small saucepan melt the Butter. Remove the pan from the heat and allow the Butter to cool slightly.

8. In a medium bowl add the Cream Cheese and the Butter and blend together using a hand held mixer. Slowly mix in the Cocoa followed by the Powdered Sugar and the Half & Half until smooth.

9. Spread the Frosting evenly over the cooled Brownies.

10. Slice Brownies into either 2 x 2 squares or 3 x 3 squares. Store any leftovers in the refrigerator.
