Hawaiian Hound Dog Treats
Make your favorite Hound Dog these yummy treats.
More and more people are starting to make their own dog food and dog treats. This is one that my pooch just loves.
Remember these are Treats for your Dog, they are not meant as a dog food replacement. I suggest just one a day for smaller dogs and 2 a day for larger dogs. As always, check the ingredients, if your dog is sensitive to certain foods.
These are for dogs but humans can consume. My husband and I tried one and they are a little bland for humans but just right for your pooch. Our neighbors dog loves them. She waits at our gate in hopes of getting one each day.
HAWAIIAN HOUND DOG TREATS
Ingredients:
- 1 Lb. Organic Ground Turkey or Chicken
- 1/2 Cup Fresh Pineapple, finely diced
- 1/2 cup Organic Carrots, shredded
- 3 Organic Eggs
- 1 Cup Whole Wheat Flour
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Spray a 13 x 18 sheet pan with non stick cooking spray and set aside.
3. Place all ingredients into a large mixing bowl. Stir well with a wooden spoon or spatula.
4. Drop mixture by rounded spoonfuls onto the prepared cookie sheet. They should be about 2 inches in size.
5. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-35 minutes. All ovens cook differently so check the treats at the 20 minute mark. You want the treats to be firm and golden brown on the edges.
6. Once the treats are done, allow them to cool completely. Store them in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the refrigerator. You can also freeze these in resealable plastic bags and keep them in the freezer for up to 2 months. Just be sure to thaw them before giving them to your doggie.
